How Composting Works

Welcome to the "How Composting Works" exploration module. You've just finished eating, and now you have leftovers that you don't want to eat. What next?

When you want to compost your leftover food, you first have to seperate the leftovers into their food groups.

After you've seperated the leftovers into their food groups, take the fruit and vegetable leftovers and put them into a worm composting bin!

Worms like to eat fruits and vegetables.

Can you think of other things a worm likes to eat?

We use special worms in a worm compost bin, they are called Red Worms.

This is a picture of a worm compost bin.
